Audio: First Essential Step to Journeying by Faith: Drop the Act by Kia D. London

if you are just starting out in the journey by faith or you were previously, but
stopped, voice that to God (by the way He already knows…He just loves for you to say that to Him aloud..it is very freeing)! Even if it’s,”Hey God! I am here.
I don’t quite understand this whole believing thing, but I am here, and I am willing to give it a try!”  There is no need to pretend that you have it all together, because He already knows who you are.

-For the Lord, your Redeemer, and He who formed you from the womb says
this, “I am the Lord, Maker of all things, Who alone stretches out the heavens,
Who spreads out the earth by Myself,”    Isaiah 44:24 (Amplified Version)

-“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation].”   Matthew 11:28 (Amplified Version)

This is not about “let me get myself together first, and then I’ll begin my journey.”  Nope.  This ain’t it.  Drop the act and be you!  In other words, whatever you are dealing with, all of your emotions, victories, failures, mistakes, hurts, anxiety…just everything!  Learning how to be vulnerable and transparent with Him is essential to your growth in belief through faith!

I pray that this was helpful and encouraging to you! Continue to journal and reflect on the scriptures that you have been reading in these posts. Stay tuned for the second essential step to journeying by faith!

Blessings,
Kia
